SMM welcomes active, visible parent involvement throughout the school. In addition to annual tuition, families have service hours and fundraising obligations to fulfill. Families who exceed fundraising obligations in Scrip or the Raffle, may apply the overage toward the other obligation.
For those families who exceed both their Scrip and their Raffle obligations, any Scrip overage will be applied to the following year’s fundraising obligation as a credit. For questions, please contact Becky Willis at rwillis@stmarym.org.
Volunteer Service Hours
15 hours per family per year (Families with preschool student only).
30 hours per family per year (Families with students in K-8).
Each hour is equivalent to $20. Unworked hours will be charged at this rate in June 2020.
Volunteers must be cleared through “Virtus” before you may begin working. For more information, visit our website and click the menu item “PARENTS” then in the drop down, click “VIRTUS”. Hours must be logged on our website under “PARENTS” and “MY VOLUNTEER HOURS”.
SCRIP Obligation (Families with students in grades K-8)
Each family has a $400 per year obligation. SCRIP is sold year round with online orders and inventory sales here at school every other week.
Purchase gift cards to use at grocery stores, retail shops, gas stations and restaurants. Rebates range from 1%-20% of your purchase. The amount credited to your SCRIP obligation is called the “rebate”. Example: If you purchase a $100 Safeway gift card with a 5% rebate, you will receive $5 towards your $400 SCRIP obligation. Please go to the school website under “FUNDRAISING” then click “SCRIP” to set up your profile. Start using this program early and often to make it easier to hit that goal.

Enroll in PrestoPay, the online payment method offered through ShopWithScrip.com, and pay for your orders with the electronic funds transfer system.It’s easy, it’s secure, and it allows you to skip the hassle of paying with cash or checks.
To Sign Up: Simply log on to your ShopWithScrip account and follow these steps:
Click on the PrestoPay link under Family Functions on your Dashboard. Enter your bank account information on our secure website. Great Lakes Scrip Center will deposit two small amounts in your bank account. Enter these amounts in your PrestoPay registration to verify your account. You’ll receive an email with an approval code to send to your coordinator.
Once your account is approved by your coordinator, you’ll be ready for online payment! For a small convenience fee of only $0.15 per order, you’ll have the quickest and easiest way to pay for scrip!
