Weekly Recap, May 14, 2020

Families of Saint Mary Magdalen School,

I wanted to remind our community that as of May 20th the point of contact for communications concerning the closing of this year as well as plans for the next school year will be Dr. Mahar. I expect to be on family medical leave during this time and want to ensure that there is a clear path for communications so that you can stay informed and have your questions answered. Dr. Mahar and I have been in deep discussions about the current school year as well as the next.

In the event that my daughter is born prior to May 20th, Dr. Mahar will begin acting as Interim Principal during that time. I will not be disappearing but I will be taking a step back during my family medical leave and when I return I’ll be working to help ensure a smooth transition into the 2020-2021 school year. Please continue to watch our Weekly Newsletter for important information. As we approach the end of the school year we will be releasing more information about how we will be facilitating our end-of-year activities such as how material pick up and equipment return will work, how end-of-the-year grades will be assigned, as well as other important announcements.

We look forward to a strong conclusion for this school year and are very proud of the truly heroic efforts that our teachers and staff put forth to help provide the best possible education under the quarantine conditions. We look forward to continuing to work with our families and to ensure a quality program and a continuous education for our students. We look forward to continuing to work with our parents and to help to ensure that we are doing everything we can to minimize the impact of the current quarantine. We will be sharing more information with you soon. God bless!
