Dr. Mahar’s Weekly Recap, June 11, 2020

Dear St. Mary Magdalen Families,

As we look towards summer and become excited about all the possibilities, I want to wish you peace and contentment. I hope we move to where your children can play with each other, reconnect with friends, and enjoy a few special field trips.

I will be communicating with you every other week over the summer to update you on plans for the fall. As we have more firm numbers regarding enrollment, I will provide information about class placements and staffing assignments. The DOH and CDC will give us guidance on how to return to school in person. There are still many scenarios being discussed – as I know more, you will know more. I am committed to working hard on behalf of your student and family while maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Thank you for your feedback from last week’s survey.

A big shout out to the staff as we have worked through the nuances of closing a school year in a pandemic. We are learning something new every day – and doing a fantastic job! As I reviewed report cards, I was so impressed by the learning progress made by your students. I feel so proud to be a part of this and super excited to move into the principalship. It is going to be great!

Our office will be open all summer except for July 3rd. Our hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please feel free to call or ring the front doorbell. We are here to help!

Blessings,

Bernie
