This year, National Catholic Schools Week will be held January 31 – February 6, 2021 and is a week full of celebrations, from celebrating our students, our families, our parish and our staff.
Monday, February 1st we kick off the week with our school Service Project – collecting new wool socks, hats and gloves. This service project is sponsored by our 3rd grade class. You can join us by sending in donations for those in need. Items are due Thursday, February 11th.
Tuesday, February 2nd we celebrate our students with a “Be Irish” day. Students wear their Be Irish sweatshirts or t-shirts and will receive a little treat from their teachers and staff.
Wednesday, February 3rd we celebrate our faith. We’ll attend a virtual mass and students may turn in home made Valentine’s Day cards made for parish outreach the following week.
Thursday, February 4th we celebrate our volunteers and alumni. Students will watch a recorded speech from our Distinguished Graduate and staff will be handing out treats for our parents at drop off.
Friday, February 5th we celebrate our community with Multicultural Day. Students are allowed to wear red, white, and blue, or please have your students wear Cultural Heritage attire. We will also have our monthly First Friday St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive. We are accepting toilet paper.
We value our students as well as our faculty, staff and parents here at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School. Catholic Schools Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate you, as well as the importance of a Catholic education.
