Wildcat Buddies Program

Who are Wildcat Buddies?

The Wildcat Buddy Program matches elementary school students with athletes from Archbishop Murphy High School. Terry Ennis, former football coach at AMHS, created the program to encourage athletes to accept the responsibility of being positive role models in our community.

Athletes benefit greatly when they have someone to look up to them and to support them in their athletic efforts. The players look forward to seeing their little buddies after each game, and sharing the experience with the team.

Throughout the year, AMHS players will visit their “buddies” at SMM during lunch and recess. Athletes are encouraged to support their buddy’s activities and events, too. SMM Wildcat Buddies will also have the opportunity to visit their buddy for a day at AMHS.
