St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School continues its tradition of helping those in need during the Advent season. This year, we are again partnering with Catholic Community Services to support mothers with infants by collecting baby items to create layettes. A layette includes all the essentials a new mother will need for her baby’s first few weeks.
Donation Details
Each grade has been assigned specific items from the list below to help complete the layettes:
- Preschool: Hats (Cotton Beanies/Summer Type)
- Kindergarten: Package of Diaper Wipes
- 1st Grade: Play and Sleep Outfits (Sizes up to 12 months)
- 2nd Grade: Socks or Booties/Shoes (Sizes up to 12 months)
- 3rd Grade: Sleepers (Sizes up to 12 months)
- 4th Grade: Washcloth or Hooded Towel
- 5th Grade: Receiving Blankets
- 6th Grade: Bottles, Pacifiers
- 7th Grade: Onesie T-shirts (Sizes up to 12 months)
- 8th Grade: Package of Diapers (Size 1 or 2)
How to Donate
- Deadline: Please drop off all donations by Tuesday, December 16th.
- Location: Donations should be unwrapped and dropped off outside the main office by the Christmas tree.
- Monetary Donations: If you are unable to donate an item, you can contribute money or gift cards (buy from scrip) which will be used to purchase needed items to complete the layette packages.
