Student government at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School offers students the opportunity to develop leadership skills while actively engaging in the planning and execution of school events. Students in grades four through eight receive training and hands-on experience in leadership roles.
Introducing Your 2025-2026 Student Leadership Team!

Student Government Highlights
The Student Leadership Team continues to bring creativity, positivity, and strong school spirit to life throughout our campus. One standout example is their interactive hallway bulletin board, designed to celebrate teachers and inspire connection across our school community.

Centered around a vibrant “gratitude tree,” students and staff are invited to recognize faculty members by sharing notes of appreciation and highlighting moments when teachers go above and beyond. The display also includes a suggestion box and rotating inspirational quotes, encouraging every student to share their voice and uplift others. This evolving project reflects the heart of student government at St. Mary Magdalen: fostering kindness, promoting school spirit, and creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with and support their community.
Alongside this initiative, our Student Leadership Team has been hard at work throughout the year making a positive impact across the school:
- Welcoming Families – Warmly greeting students and families during First Day of School Visiting Day and the Back to School Bash, helping set an inviting tone for the year.
- Fostering School Spirit – Turning our hallways into a showcase of creativity with the October Door Decorating Contest! From spooky scenes to festive fall designs, their efforts brought excitement, teamwork, and a splash of fun to our school.
- Spreading Holiday Cheer – Helping organize and run the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and leading the Christmas Sing-a-Long, bringing the community together in celebration.
- Encouraging Positivity – Rotating bulletin board themes including the Gratitude Tree, Words of Encouragement, and the Kindness Chain invite students and staff to share gratitude, encouragement, and acts of kindness throughout the school.
- Making an Impact Schoolwide – Supporting Catholic Schools Week and Open House while modeling leadership, service, and school pride.
