School Commission

The St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School Commission is an advisory board and assists the Priest and Principal in developing broad policies and direction for the school. Informed about educational and financial matters, the Commission aims to be of the greatest assistance for the general good of the School.

Responsibilities of the Commission includes establishing a mission statement and strategic plan, recommending and defending policy, offering financial advice, providing optimal public relations, evaluating the Commission’s effectiveness, and participating in the selection of the principal if invited by the pastor.

Comprised of practicing Catholics from the Parish and school community, the Commission consists of strong advocates of Catholic education and provide leadership, guidance, and encouragement to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School, ensuring the continuation of an active and effective teaching ministry.

The Academic Excellence Committee operates as a subcommittee of the School Commission. Committee members regard teaching and academics as core competencies that provide meaningful education to our students. St. Mary Magdalen is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students and nurturing a motivated and highly qualified teaching staff.

Operational Vitality Committee

The Operational Vitality Committee operates as a subcommittee of the School Commission, focusing on goals aimed at ensuring the school runs smoothly and maintains sustained, predictable management of school assets and revenue.

Parents Club

The SMM Parent’s Club promotes student, parent, and faculty welfare by fostering closer relationships between home, school and community. Our focus is to stimulate unity and involvement through various fundraising and volunteer serve opportunity. Open to all, we rely on parent volunteers to assist with events and committees.
