What are Box Tops and why should we clip & collect? General Mills started a hugely successful education fundraiser for schools in 1996 where families clip the “Box Tops” and turn them in to earn funds for their school. Collectively, St. Mary Magdalen along with schools across the nation, earned over $800 million in cash to buy things schools need; books, computers, art supplies, and play equipment – to name a few! It’s easy to participate as these are household items that you’re already using and it doesn’t matter where you shop to get them. $0.10 adds up quickly as there hundreds of products that participate in this awesome program.

We hope to raise $1250 for the Art Docent program for this school year! The SMM Art Docent program allows teachers to utilize the amazing pool of talent (in Parents, Guardians, and supporters of SMM School) to enrich our student’s art experience. Students learn about the different styles of art and get to create beautiful artwork all year long. Money raised is used for items such as paints, paper, and other art supplies as needed.

Competition brings out the best in us all and it’s a fun way to reach our goal. Historically we have had pizza or ice cream parties for the class that collects the most Box Tops. Announcement on this year’s contest details are coming soon! Remember to put your students’ and their teacher’s name on your entries to get credit.
