Available positions for the 2018-2019 School Year:
 Qualifications:

 An ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to:

  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
  • Guide instruction by Common Core State Standards and the school’s Curriculum series
  • Collaborate with partner teacher
  • Understand professional boundaries and the importance of confidentiality
  • Work with students with a diverse set of needs and learning styles
  • Communicate with parents and students about student’s progress
  • Adequately meet the students’ needs through re-teaching or enrichment opportunities
  • Effectively conduct formal and informal assessments
  • Differentiate instruction
  • Ensure instructional philosophy and practice are current and progressive

Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate or another state’s equivalent
  • Experience in a Catholic school is preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish or Vietnamese)

Salary:

Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Employer paid benefits include health and dental insurance, disability insurance, and Pension contribution.

We are expanding our preschool program adding a new class.  This position is 29.5 hours/week.

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher
  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
  • Understand professional boundaries and the importance of confidentiality
  • Help maintain a clean and safe learning environment
  • Work with students with a diverse set of needs and learning styles
  • Enjoy the physical activity and developmental level of 3 and 4 year olds
  • Assist classroom teacher in the implementation of classroom expectations and daily routines

Requirements:

  • 30 hours of STARS training
  • Background check & finger printing through DEL (Department of Early Learning).
  • CPR & First Aid training
  • TB test
  • Experience in a Catholic school is preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish or Vietnamese)

 Position Description:
  • Implement an elementary guidance curriculum.
  • Guide individuals and groups of students through the development of academic, personal, behavioral, and social plans.
  • Counsel individuals and small groups of children toward social and emotional growth
  • Consult with and train teachers, parents, and staff regarding children’s needs
  • Refer children and parents to special programs, specialists, and outside agencies
  • Participate in, coordinate and conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the counseling program and the school
  • Participate in and facilitate the student support team process
  • Plan and evaluate the counseling program

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling and certification in field
  • Master’s degree in School Counseling preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
