Girl Scouts

The official mission of the Girl Scouts organization is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. The St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School Girl Scout Troop seeks to fulfill that mission by providing girls with opportunities to earn badges through completion of activities geared toward expanding their faith, learning, community service, and leadership skills. Girl Scouts get to participate in creative activities, service projects, cookie sales, and various field trips.

Troops are organized by grade level, and are typically led by mothers of scouts in each grade. The troops are divided as follows:

  • Daisies: Kindergarten – 1st grade
  • Brownies: 2nd – 3rd grade
  • Juniors: 4th – 5th grade
  • Cadettes: 6th – 8th grade

Generally speaking, troops meet in the parish hall after school about once a week.

If you are interested in joining one of the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School Girl Scout troops, please contact the Girl Scouts of Western Washington for more information.
